The Black-Tailed Deer is named after its distinctive black tail. Fawns are born in May or June usually as twins after a 6-7 month gestation period. Black-Tailed Deer are not picky eaters eating a broad range of plants including Poison Oak. Black-Tailed Deer are commonly seen throughout the Tualatin River Watershed.
