12-acre park in a residential neighborhood with primitive river access, extremely limited parking, walking trail, and no amenities. Lake Oswego’s Canal Area also includes Canal Acres and Bryant Woods Natural Areas. The historic Lake Oswego Canal and Canal Headgate are located in the Canal Area.
Lake Oswego has a plan (see pages 148-149) to add a parking lot, boardwalk trail, wildlife viewing platform to River Run Park and a pedestrian bridge connecting River Run Park to Canal Acres Natural Area.
Together, River Run Park, Canal Acres Natural Area, and Bryant Woods Natural Area comprise 66-acres of seasonal wetlands and upland forest with an abundance of wildlife viewing and over two miles of trails.
