Common Snapping Turtle (invasive)

The Common Snapping Turtle is indigenous to the eastern United States, but invasive in Oregon. They can reach up to 18 inches in length. Snapping turtles compete with native turtles for food, habitat, and nesting sites. The Tualatin River watershed has the highest concentration of invasive snapping turtles in Oregon.
