The Westside Trail, initially called the Beaverton Powerline Trail, is one of the region’s most important corridors extending north to south through the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District. It connects west side neighborhoods and communities while providing access to the region’s distinctive rivers, forests and prairies.
Metro has developed a master plan to extend the Westside Trail to the King City Community Park, across the Tualatin River via a pedestrian bridge to the Heritage Pine Natural Area where it would connect with the Ice Age Tonquin Trail. The plan also includes extending the Westside Trail over US 26 via a pedestrian bridge, through Bethany and Forest Park, down to St. Helens Road and then to the Willamette River.
