The 90-acre River’s Bend Natural Area (formerly Munger Lane) was acquired by Metro in 1997. In 2012, Metro developed a launch concept plan for Farmington Paddle Launch and River’s Bend Natural Area. After consideration, the Farmington Paddle Launch was selected, developed and opened in 2017.
It is anticipated the River’s Bend Paddle Launch will be developed at some point in time with river access around River Mile 24.5. However, there are no launch site developments included in Metro’s current capital improvement plan. This launch site would provide a convenient river access between Scholls Bridge and King City Community Park. There is currently no public access at this site.
