Steamboat Park

One-acre city park with primitive river access and no amenities. It is located near the former Emrick’s Landing, which was the upper limit of steamboat navigation on the Tualatin River, hence the park name “Steamboat Park”.

Site News

Cornelius plans to improve to the park to include a walking path to the river, fishing platform, and paddlecraft access. Planning is funded by a Metro grant and will begin in 2025.

River Access:

200 foot gravel/grass/dirt path from the parking lot to the dirt riverbank. The riverbank is steep and slippery when muddy. Check out the condition of the riverbank before unloading paddlecraft.

Upriver:

0.3 miles (10 minutes paddling time)
Log jams are hazardous. Do not cross.

Downriver:

Persistent log jam (River Mile 45.0)
5.7 miles (3 hours paddling time)
